Hey there! I'm Ben. I'm 23 years old and a graduating senior at UCLA majoring in anthropology. I come from a pretty diverse background: My mom's side is of Russian Jewish descent and my dad's side is Mexican (with Mexica and Tarahumara blood) . I'm openly gay, in love with an amazing man, in a fraternity- Delta Lambda Phi Gamma Chapter. and love chocolate. I'm a huge nerd and proud Japanophile. I work a lot with the Native American community and will be going to grad school studying Native culture. I love getting messages in my ask box so feel free to hit me up!

They are taking away what makes her such a strong female character- she doesn’t wear uber feminine things, she has an unkempt wild appearance, and a weapon! Now she’s a girly princess. And that’s not even talking about the body changes they made!

“The redesign of Merida in advance of her official induction to the Disney Princess collection does a tremendous disservice to the millions of children for whom Merida is an empowering role model who speaks to girls’ capacity to be change agents in the world rather than just trophies to be admired. Moreover, by making her skinnier, sexier and more mature in appearance, you are sending a message to girls that the original, realistic, teenage-appearing version of Merida is inferior; that for girls and women to have value — to be recognized as true princesses — they must conform to a narrow definition of beauty.”

Jeez Disney has not been making good decisions lately!!!
